On Site School Screenings

Now scheduling on site eye screenings at area schools for the 2011-2012 school year. Did you know an estimated 10 million children age 10 and younger have vision problems? A child's vision can change as their body changes and it's important to have your children's eyesight tested at least once a year.

Our professionals will come to your school and provide comprehensive visual screenings for students. A comprehensive visual screening measures a number of visual skills that are critical to a child's healthy vision, including:

• using both eyes as a team
• the ability for the eyes to focus properly when reading a book or viewing a computer
• the ability for eyes to move properly when reading across pages of print.

Approximately 80% of what a child learns during his or her first 12 years is obtained through vision.
